than imitating nature. What I see, influences the nature and approach to my art making. Signs and symbols find a way into my work, often borrowed from ancient cultures that did not separate the physical from that which is sensed. There is a language that binds us all, inanimate as well as animate, all part of that unseen world which I communicate through painting. The spiritual aspects are there for one to sense in some work, and in other work, overt shamanism. When I approach my work, it is with a sense of awe, which I have for all creation, and the God who created it. I attempt to capture the language continually spoken, if one has ears to hear........Victoria Lenne
